This project is a great example of how Cryotherm is able to combine style with functionality to create impressive architectural features.
This prestigious building on Park Row, in the centre of Leeds, was being refurbished for a high street bank. The front elevation was to be fully glazed showing both the ground and first floors to the pavement outside. The structural steel column in the centre of the reception area not only needed to be fire protected but also had to have visual impact.
Cryotherm designed a stainless steel 650mm diameter circular casing to run from the ground floor to the first floor ceiling. It was made up of sections and had to accommodate an interface with the first floor balcony.
